Meet Garrett D. Reese, a vibrant force in the world of theatre and performance! A proud 2019 graduate of Longwood University with a BFA in Theatre Performance, Garrett is a multifaceted artist with talents that span across acting, singing, playwriting, songwriting, and even baking delicious treats!


From his early days in middle school theatre to his current roles as High School Theatre Festival Chair for the Virginia Theatre Association and Adjunct Faculty member at SPARC, Garrett's passion for the stage has only deepened over the years. As Department Chair of the Fine and Performing Arts and Theatre Teacher at The New Community School, he's shaping the next generation of performers with creativity and dedication.


In recent exciting ventures, Garrett stole the spotlight as a featured soloist and dancer in Kings Dominion's Winterfest extravaganza, and he's currently gearing up for an exhilarating run in the musical "BKLYN" at Swift Creek Mill Theatre. Additionally, keep an eye out for his upcoming role in an untitled short film filmed right here in RVA!


You might recognize Garrett from his stirring portrayal as a fugitive slave in the acclaimed movie "Harriet," or perhaps you've caught glimpses of him in trailers now streaming on Netflix.
